Val joins Hookdeck

We are incredibly excited to announce that Valérian Galliat is joining Hookdeck in the role of Senior Backend Engineer!

Valérian has led multiple projects that focus on backend work and product scalability, from building the integration platform at Busbud, to managing a part of Sportlogiq's analytics stack, to his numerous personal and open source projects. He is famous for working with Alex to build Busbud's ping-pong replay and highlight directly into Slack, making intense matches super easy to share and chat about around the company!

With Hookdeck, he will take on the responsibility of helping us scale the product, which includes but is not limited to overall reliability, backend optimization, and managing and monitoring the infrastructure. When it comes to reliability, we take it very seriously. We believe that Val has the backend chops to help us ensure Hookdeck's scalability, which leads us to support our users as well as the growth of their webhook usage.

Val's passion for development and backend work is one of his many callings. He takes the time to nurture many other interests such as blogging, photography, climbing, music, and the list goes on!

We imagine a world where the needless complexities of asynchronous event-based communication are abstracted away, setting teams free to focus on building the things they love rather than the infrastructure around them. We are thrilled to count on Val's backend expertise and dynamic personality on this journey ahead of us as we redefine the future of the connected web.
